Residents of Busali village, Khwisero constituency in Kakamega have been left in deep shock after a 23-year-old man stabbed his mother to death over what has been alleged as escalated wrangle over food.
The man identified as Peter Ababu is said to have arrived home when he found out that his mother had only left two pieces of the delicious bird.
Wrangles are said to have erupted after Peter confronted his mother,54 years old, asking her for more pieces of the chicken.
The mother is said to have shared the meal with her 2 grandchildren. The angered son did not tolerate the answer and could not hesitate to let out his frustration.
It is said that Peter grabbed a knife from the Kitchen before landing on her mother where he stabbed her multiple times leading to her death.
The son immediately surrendered himself to Khwisero police station where he is currently being held pending an investigation into the grievous murder.
