A needy Kenyan had taken to Mike Sonko’s Facebook page, pleading for help from the charitable politician . The former Nairobi governor spotted the case and went ahead to help after getting the fan’s contact Sonko’s M-Pesa balance after the transaction caused a kind of frenzy in the comments, with others asking him to extend the largesse to them.
Onetime Nairobi governor gave his followers a glimpse of his M-Pesa wallet on the morning of Friday, December 9. The politician had just surprised a random fan with a KSh 1,000 token before confirming it in the comments section.
The follower had perhaps tried seeking help and to his luck; he caught the attention of Sonko who went ahead to disburse the money. The other followers could not let the balance therein pass, asking the politician to extend the kind gesture to them as well.
